Position:       Adult Volleyball referee

Salary:     $11.50 – $12.50 per game

 GENERAL PURPOSE

This is a non-benefitted position working under the direction of a Recreation Manager or Site Supervisor. Responsible for refereeing adult Volleyball games, help with minor court preparation and control of the overall game. Assists Site Supervisor as necessary. Perform other duties as assigned. 

SALARY:

$11.50 to $12.50 per game depending upon qualifications. SALARY WILL GENERALLY START AT THE LOWER END OF THE SALARY RANGE. 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Certified High School volleyball official preferred, or some experience refereeing adult volleyball. Requires a strong knowledge of volleyball including rules, scoring procedures, penalties and hand signals. Ability to resolve problems and conflicts. Requires some bending and lifting; watch for and call all rule violations; instruct players on reason for violation; ability to maintain control of teams, coaches, and players; work effectively and courteously with the public; and resolve problems and conflicts at game site. A valid drivers license may be required. 

SCHEDULE:  

Wednesday, evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Season starts February 2017 until the end of April 2017. Shifts are typically 2-4 hours long.
